Thesis

Although in the end of the play Biff finally realizes how he should've lived his life all along, Miller explains that the lack of trust and success Biff had in his life came from Willy's misguided ways of parenting.

After talking to my group and Mrs. Gerber about my thesis, I decided a few things. First off, Miller did not explain, he showed how this happened through many scenes in the play. Second, my thesis is not specific enough. I need to add how Miller showed this through the rhetoric in the play. I also decided to omit the first part of my sentence because it seems unecessary.
The most fitting style of writing for my topic, is a cause and effect essay.
My new thesis:

Miller, by many uses of rhetoric in the play, shows that the lack of trust and success Biff had in his life comes from Willy's misguided ways of parenting.
