Willy's Death

Does Willy kill himself to help his son Biff? He says something about 20,000 dollars, and is he using his insurance to give Biff the American Dream?

I think Willy kills himself because he wants his son Biff to get the insurance money so he can live"the american dream" because he wants Biff's life to be better and more than Willy's life was.

Willy kills himself so the insurance money will go to Biff and Happy's "Florida Plan". I think it's pretty obvious by Linda's reaction at the funeral that the money did not go through as she says "It seems to me that you're just on another trip" (Miller 112). This shows that nothing has changed in the Loman household, and that Biff and Happy are still as unsuccessful as they were when Willy was alive.
