On pages 60-61, Willy and Biff argue about whistling. Since whistling is a form of music, is it in any way related to the flute motif in the story, or is whistling a significance of some sort on its own?

I think there is no significance between those two in the story. However, the whistling does kind of characterize Biff in that he is not very formal, like when he was in the elevator of his old job.

I think that Willy sees whistling as smoething that belongs outside, and relates it to Biff being working at the farms and not taking life seriously.
