Unfortunately, there was a problem with my HTML and the spacing got all screwed up and I don't know how to fix it...Anyways, in putting my poem together, I wanted to capture the feelings of the soldiers when they came back from the war. I wanted to show how they felt like they didn't really fit in anymore and were going in this endless loop that never really took them away from their guilt or from their past war memories. Also, I liked the butterfly motif in the book and included the descriptions of it to help show that from far away the veterans may seems fine, but close up or on the inside they are still suffering. Kind of a sad poem, but I liked being able to use all the descriptions that really stood out to me.
